Here's how it works:
Before we start: how the filters connect
1. Results must match all filters.
Otherwise known as an 'AND' filter.
i.e. Contacts linked to accounts with opportunities in the 'Won' stage and the account size is greater than 5 and the contact's role contains the word 'manager'.
2. Within each filter, the results must match any of the selected criteria.
Otherwise known as an 'OR' filter.
i.e. Filter contacts linked to accounts with opportunities in the 'Proposal made' stage or 'Won' stage and have the tag 'Advertising' or 'Sales'.
Step 1: Start on the page of the entity you want to filter on
Hit the filter icon (to the right of the search icon) to open the advanced filter menu.
i.e. Filter contacts.
If an orange dot appears, that means a filter is applied.
Step 2: Search for the field you'd like to filter on
You can filter on all fields of all related entities (accounts, contacts, opportunities, etc).
The fields are grouped by entity (account, contact, opportunity, task, etc), separated by grey entity headers in the filter field search.
Search or scroll for the fields you want to filter on.
i.e. Filter contacts that are linked to accounts with opportunities in a certain stage.
Step 3: Choose the filter rules
Use the left dropdown menu to define the rules you want to filter with.
Click or hit enter to apply the filter.
i.e. Contacts that are linked to accounts with opportunities in the 'Won' stage.
You can for instance send your onboarding material to all contacts related to opportunities that you have recently won.
Use the same filters often? You can save them for future use.
