Are you attempting to test email tracking but not seeing any activity when you open or click on the emails? Don't worry, there's a reason for that!
Salesflare intentionally excludes your own interactions from email tracking. This means that when you open or click on your own emails, Salesflare doesn't register these actions. This feature saves you from the confusion of distinguishing between your own interactions and those of your customers.
Here's how it works:
Salesflare identifies and excludes the IP addresses associated with your account and those of your team members.
It then disregards any email opens or clicks originating from these addresses.
It's important to note that Salesflare tracks external IP addresses connected to the internet, not internal IP addresses within your company or home network. So, even if your colleagues are in the same office but aren't using Salesflare, their interactions will also be excluded.
Want to run a test before sending emails to customers?
💡Here's a tip: Ask a colleague who doesn't use Salesflare to disconnect from the office Wi-Fi and open the email on their phone. This action will use a different IP address provided by the mobile network, allowing you to see how email tracking works from a customer's perspective.
