How can I use Salesflare with ChatGPT or Claude?

Connect Salesflare to ChatGPT or Claude to look up and work with your CRM data using natural language.

Salesflare is available in both the official ChatGPT app directory and the Claude connector directory. This is the easiest and recommended way to connect it.

In short

Choose your AI assistant:

Open the relevant directory page, connect Salesflare, and complete the authentication flow.

Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT or Claude to find and work with information in your Salesflare account.

What can I use it for?

You can ask questions and give instructions such as:

  • Show me my biggest open opportunities

  • Find accounts I haven’t followed up with recently

  • List the contacts at a specific company

  • Show opportunities in a particular pipeline

  • Create a follow-up task for next Tuesday

  • Update an opportunity

  • Find the accounts that need my attention most

The exact actions available can depend on your ChatGPT or Claude plan, workspace configuration, and permissions in Salesflare.

Connect Salesflare to ChatGPT

Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the option to connect or install Salesflare.

  2. Sign in to Salesflare when prompted.

  3. Approve the requested access.

  4. Start a new conversation and select or invoke the Salesflare app.

In a company-managed ChatGPT workspace, an administrator may first need to allow the Salesflare app.

Try a prompt like:

Use Salesflare to show my open opportunities in the larger prospects pipeline, sorted by value.

Being explicit about using Salesflare is helpful, particularly when ChatGPT has access to several apps.

Connect Salesflare to Claude

  1. Click the option to add or connect Salesflare.

  2. Sign in to Salesflare when prompted.

  3. Approve the requested access.

  4. Enable Salesflare from Claude’s connector or tools menu when starting your conversation.

In a company-managed Claude workspace, an owner or administrator may first need to enable the connector.

Try a prompt like:

Claude may allow you to control which Salesflare tools are enabled. Only enable the tools you need for the task at hand.

Example prompts

Here are some prompts to get started:

  • Show me my biggest open opportunities in Salesflare.

  • Find accounts in Salesflare with no recent follow-up.

  • List all contacts at [company name].

  • Show my opportunities in the larger prospects pipeline.

  • Sort my open opportunities by value.

  • Create a task to follow up with [contact] next Tuesday.

  • Summarize the recent activity for [account].

  • Find opportunities that have not been updated recently.

It is usually best to start with lookup and read-only questions. Once you are comfortable with the connection, you can move on to creating or updating data.

Troubleshooting

Salesflare does not appear as an available app or connector

Check that:

  • Your ChatGPT or Claude plan supports apps or connectors

  • Apps or connectors are enabled for your workspace

  • An administrator has approved Salesflare, if required

  • You are signed in to the correct ChatGPT or Claude account

Authentication does not complete

This can happen when:

  • The login or authorization window is blocked

  • Cookies or pop-ups are disabled

  • You signed in with a different Salesflare account than intended

  • Your workspace administrator has not enabled the connector

  • The authentication process was interrupted

Try connecting again in a regular browser window with pop-ups and cookies enabled.

The assistant connects but does not use Salesflare

Explicitly mention Salesflare in your prompt.

For example:

Use Salesflare to show my open opportunities.

I’m worried about changes being made to my CRM

Start with read-only requests such as searching, listing, or summarizing information.

For actions that create or modify data, carefully review what the assistant proposes or asks you to confirm before proceeding.
