What does this mean?
When you delete a contact in Salesflare:
The contact becomes greyed out in the account's contact list.
Their historical data, such as emails and interactions, remains visible in the account's timeline.
This approach ensures that while the contact is no longer in the contact database, their past interactions are preserved for context.
How to restore a greyed-out contact
If you wish to restore a deleted (greyed-out) contact:
Navigate to the Contacts section.
Click on + Add Contact.
Enter the same email address as the previously deleted contact.
Salesflare will recognise the email and reinstate the contact and restore their full profile.
How to remove a greyed-out contact from an account
If you wish to remove a greyed-out contact from an account:
Navigate to the Account page where the greyed-out contact appears.
Click on the Manage button in the Contacts section.
Uncheck the box next to the greyed-out contact you wish to remove.
Click Save to confirm the changes.
The contact will now be removed from the account's contact list.
How to permanently delete a contact
When deleting a contact, Salesflare will prompt you to permanently delete it during the process:
You can:
Click Delete on the contact's edit screen.
In the confirmation dialog, click the permanent delete link to fully remove the contact and its history.
⚠️ Note: This action is irreversible. Once permanently deleted, all history and data associated with the contact will be lost. It is mainly there so you can respect a person’s request to have their data fully deleted (for GDPR or other purposes).
