Wondering how to switch to the new Gmail UI and features? Here's how.

For a G Suite account, do this first 👇

First, your team's G Suite administrator needs to enable the switch for the "New Gmail Early Adopter Program". 

It's quite well hidden between all the settings in the Google Admin module. You need to know where to look.

Here's where you'll find it:

There's two ways to find this page and enable the setting:

Option 1 : Use our direct links

  1. Log into the Google Admin module as the G Suite administrator.
  2. After doing this, click on this direct link to the right page.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the section "End User Settings" (just above the section "End User Access").
  4. Switch the radio buttons to "Allow my users access to the new Gmail UI and features" to turn on the option for your domain.
  5. Wait up to an hour. ⏱️
  6. Tell your colleagues they can get the new Gmail (explanation below for personal Gmail account).
  7. Be a hero. 💪

Option 2 : Navigate to it

  1. Log into the Google Admin module as the G Suite administrator.
  2. Open the menu at the top left, then select "Apps", then "G Suite", then "Gmail".

3. Scroll to the bottom of the section "End User Settings" (just above the section "End User Access").
4. Switch the radio buttons to "Allow my users access to the new Gmail UI and features" to turn on the option for your domain.
5. Wait up to an hour. ⏱️
6. Tell your colleagues they can switch to the new Gmail (explanation below for personal Gmail account).
7. Be a hero. 💪

Enabling the new Gmail in your account

This part is simple.

  1. Click on the cogwheel at the top right of Gmail.
  2. Hit "Try the new Gmail" to turn it on.
  3. Enjoy the new Gmail UI and features! ✨
